Your Kids and the Internet
The internet can change lives and that’s obvious but without some limits kids can get out of control online. Here are a few ways to make sure they don’t abuse their internet clear privileges and that you stay sane at home
Set Some Time Limits: One of the biggest complaints we hear from parents is that their kids are online too much. We’ve got a fix for that and it includes setting hard and fast time limits for how long they’re allowed to be online. Start with 1 hour for teens and 30 minutes for youth unless you’re monitoring.
Check Their Sites: There’s tons of free and downloadable software available for monitoring your childrens’ activities online. See who they’ve been talking to and which sites they’ve visited to help be proactive against trouble.
Be Educated: One of the easiest ways for kids to get around your rules is by you being behind the tech curve. Know the lingo and realize what’s going on without having to research it. Staying ahead of the game is half the battle.
